Routines

As part of the home school agreement your child is expected to read every evening. Please feel free to write a comment and please initial in your child’s reading record book each time you listen to them read so that I know that they have read to someone.

I will continue to set homework on a Wednesday, which needs to be handed in by the following Monday, unless it is a project that can run over 2 or more weeks. It is helpful for me to have feedback from you with regards to how they coped and whether they enjoyed the task. So again, please write comments in their homework books.

Many of the children have enthusiastically created their own homework; they have been inspired by our work in class to carry out their own research. This not only extends their learning but also contributes to the whole class learning. Please encourage your child to bring in any work that they have done at home as it will be celebrated in class.

If you are able to offer any help or support during the term please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Kind Regards

Sandy Martin
